Visiting Scientists

One of the aims of our Center, beyond technology dissemination, is to train personnel at other institutions in the formation and operation of successful translational research teams.

A successful translational research team is an interdisciplinary group of experts engaged in project- and patient-focused technical development. In such teams basic scientists, clinical radiologists, physicians, and industry scientists work closely together, maintaining rich and frequent communication about clinical needs, technical solutions, and engineering challenges. Translational teams rapidly iterate the technologies and methods under development, shortening the time required to take ideas from the laboratory to the clinic and resulting in greater positive impact on clinical practice and patient care.

Our visiting translational scientist program offers investigators, clinicians, and engineers from distant collaboration sites the embedded multidisciplinary interaction essential to CAI2R. Here is more information about past visiting scientists:
