Postdoctoral Fellow in Accelerated Quantitative MRI with Machine Learning Methods

Our Center invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in the department of radiology at NYU Langone Health. In particular, we are seeking a candidate with interest or expertise in developing accelerated quantitative MR methods.

Our research group develops novel MR pulse sequences, image reconstructions, and optimized, accelerated quantitative MR methods, such as compressed sensing (CS), MR fingerprinting (MRF) and machine learning (ML).

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work closely with basic scientists who specialize in musculoskeletal imaging and with clinician scientists who specialize in radiology, orthopedic surgery, endocrinology, and rheumatology. The postdoctoral fellow will also work with a large group of MR physicists, image reconstruction experts, and radiofrequency coil engineers.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have an PhD in physical science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field. The candidate must be familiar with computer operating systems and programming languages, particularly MATLAB, Python, C++, or equivalent. We also expect candidates to have excellent communication and writing skills.
