Ultimate Intrinsic SNR in a Uniform Sphere

The ultimate intrinsic SNR (UISNR) at the center of a uniform dielectric sphere can be calculated analytically without performing complex simulations. This enables rapid and direct calculation of the UISNR, which may be used, for example, as an absolute reference to assess the performance of head coils with spherical phantoms.The Matlab code available here for download provides all functions necessary for the calculations.

CAI2R Researchers Speak at NIST Workshop on Standards for Quantitative MRI
