Job Opening: Research Software Engineer C++

Research Software Engineer C++

About Our Group

The mission of the Center for Advanced Imaging Innovation and Research (CAI2R) at NYU School of Medicine is to develop technical solutions to the key limitations of today’s medical imaging practice and to support the deployment for routine patient care. The center is embedded directly into the Department of Radiology and brings together ~70 full-time researchers, including basic MR scientists, clinical researchers, and research technicians. It is located in the heart of New York City on Manhattan’s east side, in a landmark building that also houses our radiology offices and 6 of the clinical MRI systems. The close proximity enables us to test new developments very rapidly during routine MR examinations and to obtain direct feedback from clinicians.

Our scientists have access to over 12 MR systems, including various clinical MRI scanners as well as a PET/MR and 7T MRI system. We are supported by a team of onsite industry scientists. A dedicated RF lab can be used for custom coil and phantom building. Extensive computational resources are available for numerical simulations and for the development of computationally demanding reconstruction algorithms.
